The ACMI and charter provider Getjet now has another offshoot: On November 30, 2022, the AOC and operating license for Getjet Airlines Latvia were presented by the Latvian Ministry of Transport.
The « parent house » is located in the neighboring country of Lithuania and specializes in the provision of ACMI and charter services. With the branch in Latvia, this segment will be further expanded and also work for tour operators from Riga and other Latvian airports.
Rolands Ramins, Head of GetJet Airlines Latvia, emphasizes that the cooperation with the Latvian authorities in obtaining the certificate was excellent. Overall, all management is grateful for the efforts the team and its stakeholders have made since the airline’s inception in 2022.
“Establishing an airline in Latvia is a new strategic step that opens up new growth opportunities for our company. GetJet Airlines Latvia, together with its Lithuanian counterpart, will create strategic business synergies that will enable it to realize the potential of charter service across the region,” said Darius Viltrakis, CEO of GetJet Aviation Holdings.
Additional aircraft are to be registered on the Latvian AOC, with which the group of companies would like to grow in the coming year. It is currently believed that charter and ACMI demand WILL remain high in 2023. So far, however, no information has been given about possible customers.

The Group fleet consists of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft. The Getjet Group has been on the market since 2016 and flies for tour operators and other airlines, among others. Customers include Spicejet, Finnair, Lot, Norwegian, Corendon and Wizz Air.
