Qatar Airways will start its 2023 summer season by resuming service to Venice with a daily non-stop flight from Hamad International Airport in Doha. This marks the airline’s third Italian destination, joining Rome and Milan. With this expansion, Qatar Airways’ weekly flight frequency to Italy will increase from 42 to 49 flights.
The Doha flight is a Venice with the modern Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner that is served, the passengers are comfortable and the stunned aircraft are safe. The outbound flight (QR125) takes off at 09:00 and arrives in Venice at 16:50. The return flight (QR126) takes off at 14:20 and arrives in Doha at 23:10 local time.
Qatar Airways Chief Commercial Officer Thierry Antinori was delighted to announce the importance of the Italian market for the airline and underlined the commitment to offer passengers comprehensive travel options and seamless connections. Qatar Airways is working closely with codeshare partners such as Iberia and Vueling to also offer one-stop connections to Venice via Madrid and Barcelona.
The resumption of the Venice route is part of Qatar Airways’ expansion strategy in Europe, which also recently announced the return to Lisbon and the imminent commencement of flights to Hamburg. These developments reflect the airline’s efforts to continue to expand its route network despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic and to strengthen its position in the global aviation market.
